How to Set Up Anti-Ping

To set up the Anti-Ping module, follow these steps:
  1. Enable the Module:
    • Run the /config command.
    • Select “Configure Modules” and ensure that the Anti-Ping module is enabled. If it’s enabled, a green tick emoji should appear next to it.
  2. Configure Anti-Ping Roles:
    • After enabling the Anti-Ping module, go back to the home page by clicking the blue back button.
    • Select “Configure Anti-Ping”.
    • Then, click on “Edit Anti-Ping Roles” to start configuring the roles.

Anti-Ping and Whitelisted Roles

Once you’ve clicked “Edit Anti-Ping Roles”, you’ll see two dropdown boxes where you can configure the roles:
The “Anti-Ping” dropdown box allows you to select roles that members are warned not to ping unless they have a “Whitelisted” role. This ensures that certain individuals are protected from being pinged by others.
Once the roles are selected, the bot will automatically monitor pinging activity. If a member who is not on the whitelist pings a restricted role, they will receive a warning from the bot.

Additional Anti-Ping Settings

Besides role configurations, you can also adjust the following settings:

Ping Warning

Customize the warning message that users receive when they ping a restricted role.

Whitelisted Role Settings

Manage which roles are exempt from the Anti-Ping feature, ensuring certain users can still send pings without warnings.
